For more than 25 years Fabrication Specialists, Inc. has earned the reputation for providing the highest quality Custom and Premium Grade architectural woodwork, retail store fixturing and fabricated acrylics available.

As our reputation for standards of high quality products and excellent service spread, it was not long before we acquired National Vendor status with a buying group of retail department stores in excess of 200. Included in this group were retailers such as J.C. Penney (Atlanta and New York), Sears and Roebuck (Chicago), Mercantile Stores (Fairfield, Ohio), Parisian (Birmingham), McRaes (Jackson, MS), Richs (a.k.a Federated of Atlanta), Macys (Atlanta), Elder Beerman (Dayton, Ohio), and Expo Design Center (a.k.a. Home Depot, Atlanta). We were truly one of the Best Kept Secrets in Mobile, Alabama!

During the 1990s corporate mergers, buyouts, consolidation and down sizing seemed to be the trend.  With every corporate move our deck was reshuffled. Little did we know that with the advent of the World Wide Web, everything was going to change with regard to sales/marketing and manufacturing. A disproportionate share of retail hardware and display components began to be outsourced overseas. In order for us to be resilient to this era of changing market place, we had to be flexible to change and most importantly not afraid to broaden our areas of expertise. For us, when one door closed another opened! This was the template to our future.

In 2004 we successfully began to reimage our company as a highend architectural millwork firm. With more than 20 years experience working with wood, metal, plastics and glass, we have been able to market ourselves as a one-source, turn-key millwork contractor catering to specific highend projects laden with a variety of materials and unique designs.
