Fabrication Specialists, Inc. specializes in fine architectural woodworking, retail stores Fixturing and fabricated acrylics. Our range of product requires a diverse work force. We generally employ between 25 to 35 individuals in the following positions:
Entry Level. These are the Helpers and Positions in Training. In the last year we have doubled the number of positions in the Entry Level category. With the assistance of Mobile Works On the Job Training (OJT) and Incumbent Worker Program (IWT) as well as Catholic Social Services program allowing non-English speaking individuals to have job placement, we have been able to give opportunity to unskilled workers. Individuals, both men and women, learn skills and work ethic that can sustain employment with our company. Our goal is to build a more skilled Mobile work force in the area of fine woodworking industry.
Skilled Workers. With our expansion into the area of fine architectural woodworking, we have opened at least a dozen positions such as machine operators, furniture style / cabinet fabricators and finishers, installers, and material handlers. We have added two additional CNC operators. With the assistance of the OJT program, our pay scale is competitive with the National average for apprentices, cabinetmakers and installers.
Middle Management. We have CNC programmers, laser/engraver operators, designer/draftsmen, marketing, purchasing, sales, accounting, estimators, project managers, site superintendents, and field managers.
